Mayday, 1999
My obsession with light started with this one – I fell in love with this gorgeous lamp for its artlessness and functionality. Mayday was designed by Konstantin Grcic for Flos. It was made of polypropylene. The handle of the lamp was available in three colour variations: orange, black and blue. It won the 2001 Golden Compass award. The lamp was added to the permanent collection at the MoMA in New York.
